Have
you ever wanted to take a brief "time-out" and spend a few days on your
fitness goals? Have you been trying to jump-start a new program but are
not sure how to begin? Take some time away from the obstacles and
commitments of your daily life and come utilize our private training
studio in one of the healthiest towns in America, Boulder, Colorado.
Here, the residents walk and talk fitness and the community health
services are abundant in terms of hiking, running, organic restaurants,
grocers and retail shopping. The Boulder Marriott Hotel is conveniently located two doors down from our studio which minimizes the need for additional transportation.
During
your weekend retreat, you will have semi-exclusive use of our 4,300
square foot studio. You can bring a friend to share the experience or
just indulge on your own. All
retreats are one-on-one with a personal trainer, nutritionist, pilates
instructor, etc. and can be customized for the following:
Individual fitness program Mind/body Weight loss Sport specific Water therapy or any combination of the above
Wendy McClure, co-owner of Body Dynamics (see bio)
will be your lead trainer and will guide your selection of services
based on your desired goals. Wendy McClure has been named Top 100
Trainers in the US and works with all levels of fitness from wheelchair
bound clients to Olympic athletes.
Our weekend retreats accept
arrivals on Friday nights or Saturday mornings with departures on
Sunday afternoon though we are also willing to accommodate special
dates or extended stays. Please call our office for availability.

Services Available During Your Retreat
Personal Training
Our
philosophy is based on functional, fully integrated movement and much
of what you learn will not require high-tech machines. Program design
can be tailored toward gyms, home, travel or sport. Emphasis can
include: strength, toning, cardio, weight loss, injury recovery, core
conditioning, sport specific, or flexibility.
Nutritional Guidance
Review
of two week food diary establishing caloric expenditure. Specialized
needs will be referred to our nutritionist Amy Keller of InSight
Nutrition or Laura Bennett for sport-specific needs.
Pilates
Services
coordinated by Lindsay Ross, co-owner of Body Dynamics. Lindsay is a
Polestar certified specialist and has over 25 years of experience.
Services include Pilates mat, Pilates reformer, and rehabilitative
movement analysis.
Mind/Body Services
Guided by CM Brown and includes yoga, deep relaxation, hypnotherapy, and stress reduction.
Water Fitness or Water Therapy
Traditional water workouts, hydro-cuff resistance, and water running programs guided by Wendy McClure.
Outdoor Activities
Guided hikes, town cycling, mountain biking, trail runs, kayaking
Therapeutic Massage or Rolfing
Physical Therapy/Dry Needling
Additional Services available at Essentiels Spa at an additional cost, need to book ahead.
Additional Experiences
Grocery store field trip: Visit a health food store of your choice. Discover healthy options for your new nutrition program.
